Awakening is a story set within the great circle of monoliths at Stonehenge, Wiltshire, England. It follows the celestial cycle of the two solstices and two equinoxes.
Not far away is the city of Salisbury with its magnificent cathedral. Awakening is a poetic and spiritual journey, expressed in a series of poems, of a soul arising from sleep within Stonehenge in a fearful state of trepidation. His journey, watched over and guided by celestial beings, is one of learning and enlightenment culminating in a belief in everlasting hope and gloria.
